Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and EzAI (“EzAI”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the EzAI website, applications, APIs, and all related features (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, or by accessing or using any part of the Service, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for abuse, fraud, or automated scraping.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) break the law or infringe the rights of others; (b) generate or distribute malware, spam, or content designed to deceive or defraud; (c) attempt to defeat rate limits, quotas, or access controls; (d) probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without our prior written consent; or (e) use automated means to access the Service other than through interfaces we expressly provide.

You are responsible for the prompts you submit and for how you use the outputs you receive. AI outputs can be wrong or incomplete; do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent verification.

4. Intellectual property in the Service

The Service — including its software, source code, object code, user-interface designs, layouts, component structure, visual styling, copy, prompt-engineering systems, routing logic, the Academic Workspace, the Artifacts Canvas, and all related know-how (the “EzAI IP”) — is owned by EzAI and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade-secret, trademark, and other laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no licence or right to the EzAI IP is granted to you, whether by implication, estoppel, or otherwise. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

5. Anti-cloning & no-derivative-product

You must not copy, reproduce, “clone”, re-skin, or create a product or service that replicates the look, feel, flow, feature set, or substantial functionality of the Service, in whole or in part, whether for internal use, resale, or public release.

You must not use the Service, its outputs, or any observation of its behaviour to build, train, benchmark, or improve a competing product, a competing model, or a competing user interface. This includes scraping screens, recording interaction flows, or systematically extracting UI assets.

You must not remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notice, and you must not present the Service or any part of it as your own.

6. Anti-reverse-engineering

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you must not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, de-obfuscate, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying ideas, algorithms, prompt templates, model-routing rules, or trade secrets of the Service.

You must not defeat, circumvent, or interfere with any technical protection, minification, obfuscation, sandboxing, or access-control measure. Where local law grants a non-waivable right to reverse engineer for interoperability, you agree to first request the necessary information from us in writing.

Automated harvesting of the Service’s client bundles, network traffic, or responses for the purpose of understanding or reproducing its implementation is prohibited.

7. Your content & outputs

You retain ownership of the prompts and materials you submit (“Input”). Subject to your compliance with these Terms, EzAI assigns to you its rights, if any, in the text and media generated for you in response (“Output”).

You grant EzAI a limited licence to process Input and Output as needed to operate, secure, and support the Service. We do not use your Input or Output to train foundation models — see the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of Output does not infringe third-party rights. Similar or identical Output may be generated for other users.

8. Third-party AI providers

The Service routes requests to third-party model providers (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and image or research providers) via their commercial APIs. Your use of Output may also be subject to those providers’ usage policies. We select providers that contractually commit not to train on API data.

9. Plans, fair-use, and quotas

Some features are subject to a Fair-Use Policy (“FUP”) and daily quotas (for example, live academic research queries). When a soft limit is reached, the Service continues to work by routing to lighter-weight models until the limit resets. Paid plans, when available, raise these limits.

We may change features, limits, or pricing on reasonable notice. We may enforce rate limits to protect the Service from abuse.

10. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. EzAI does not warrant that Output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EzAI’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid to EzAI in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100. EzAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Sections 4–6, 7 (last paragraph), 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law & changes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at EzAI’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that location.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be signalled by updating the date below and, where appropriate, by notice in the product. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
